[Using 3.25mm DPN] Longtail cast on 30sts. Leave 10cm of yarn tail for finishing.

Make the Pocket (Main color)

Round1 Refer to “How to knit the first round”(my blog)".

[Using 3.0mmDPNs] Distribute the 8sts from scrap yarn onto 2DPNs. It is in the order of "2, 6" clockwise from the edge of the pocket.

Pick up 10sts from the edge of the pocket with new yarn. Leave 10cm yarn tail for closing hole. Using a crochet hook makes it easy. And divide the stitches into two needles evenly.

Join the pocket-edge stitch and compartment stitch. Knit using the DPN that picked up the pocket-edge stitches.

(1)Follow the sinker loop of the first stitch of the leftDPN to the right, and pick up the loop from the back with the leftDPN.

(2)Knit the first stitch of the leftDPN and the stitch picked up together. Same as "k2tog"

Join the compartment stitch and pocket-edge stitch.

(1)Yarn-tail is put out to the outside.

(2)Find the yarn that across under the first stitch in the next needle.

(3)Insert crochet hook from under the yarn and pick up the working yarn.

(4)Twist the stitch and move to the rightDPN.

(5)And then cover the it with the slipped stitch.

Put a marker(pm)

Round2 k18 Pull the yarn-tail to prevent the stitch from loosening.

Pick up 14 stitches from purl stitches of "Compartment Round6”. Leave 10cm of yarn tail for finishing.

Do not turn.

Make the Drawstring 25cm (Main color)

[Using Crochet hook 2.5mm] Leave 10cm of yarn tail for finish the end of the string. Make 70 chain stitches. String will be about 25cm. Cut the yarn, leaving 10cm yarn tail.

Finish Finish by weave the yarn tail into the chain stitches.


Make the Grab Handle 5.5cm (Main color)

[Using Crochet hook 2.5mm] Leave 10cm of yarn tail for finish the end of the string. Make 15 chain stitches. String will be about 5.5cm. Cut the yarn, leaving 10cm yarn tail.

Finish Finish by tying the tail of the yarn to the compartment.

Sew 3 buttons.

Attach each part referring to the photo.


If you knit the drawstring a little shorter and attach a shank button, it will be easier to open and close the compartment.
